The High Commission of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana in New Delhi provides visa service to all Indian nationals wanting to visit Guyana. This Mission accepts applications of the purpose of Tourism, Business and Students. The form and requirements for each type of visa are available on this site. Applications are to be submitted to the following address on Monday – Friday (except on holidays), between 10:30am – 12:30pm.

Tourism Visa Requirements

A covering letter attaching the following documents:

  1. Two duly completed visa application forms with two recent passport size photographs of applicant.
  2. Valid passport (at least 6 months validity). Passport data pages should be photocopied.
  3. Police Clearance Certificate (issued preferably from MEA).
  4. Evidence of funds available to applicant for the duration of visit. Statement should be stamped and signed by the Bank.
  5. Letter of invitation from Guyana (if available).
  6. Flight Itinerary.
  7. Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
  8. General Medical Certificate.
  9. Hotel Reservation.

  2. Valid passport (at least 6 months validity). Passport data pages should be photocopied.

  4. Evidence of funds available to applicant for the duration of visit.
  5. Statement should be stamped and sign by the Bank.
  6. Letter of Acceptance from the University.
  7. Flight Itinerary.
  8. Educational Certificates (must be attested by the relevant Indian authorities).
  9. Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
  10. General Medical Certificate.
  11. Hotel Reservation.

Employment Visa on Arrival Requirement

The Guyana High Commission in New Delhi, India, does not issue Employment Visas.

In this regard, the following steps should be taken:

  1. The prospective employer in Guyana must apply on the employee’s behalf to the Department of Citizenship and Immigration for an employment visa on arrival.
  2. If the Department of Citizenship and Immigration is satisfied with the credentials of the applicant, a letter is given to the employer stating that the foreign national will be issued with an employment visa on arrival. The letter also sets out the requirements for a medical certificate and registration with the Guyana Revenue Authority.
  3. The prospective employee must submit a copy of the letter from the Department of Citizenship and Immigration to the Guyana High Commission in New Delhi, India, for verification, and subsequent issuance of a letter to the relevant airline to facilitate travel
